This is a blog about the purchase of a 1988 BMW K75 Motorcycle. The title of the blog is called “Tales of the Flying Brick”. The bike earned that nickname because of the way the engine looks. It is indeed very brick-like. I guess the title also has a double meaning because when you really want somebody to read something, you hurl a brick with a note taped to it through their window…
My eventual goal with this motorcycle is to travel cross country and back. I was very inspired by the book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and I am interested in the healing power a long journey on two wheels can provide.
Joe, please let us know how you fared in the storm.
Ok up here in Harlem. My friends in Lower Manhattan have all kinds of troubles…
I’m glad you are okay. Here’s hoping things in Lower Manhattan get resolved soon. The reports coming from NYC and various parts of NJ are unbelievable.
